Volunteers have been at the heart of Malta’s mission since its very first days. Simply put, without volunteer medical professionals, Malta could not provide the high-quality, compassionate, and free primary health care for which it has become known.

Malta’s amazing volunteer doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nutritionists, and interpreters provide about $2 million – or 1,300 clinic hours – of in-kind professional services every year, on the van and in their own offices.

Malta currently has the following volunteer opportunities:

  • Physicians
  • Nurses
  • Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
  • Offsite Specialist Physician
  • Medical Interpreters
