She began her career in banking, serving for thirteen years at People’s United Bank (now M&T Bank), where as Vice President, she served in branch leadership and product management roles.

“Dianne brings a passion for service to others and for the mission of Malta House of Care, and we are delighted to continue to benefit from her experience and strong leadership in this now permanent role as Executive Director. Malta House is at a pivotal point in its life as an organization. We are launching a new strategic plan, engaging with more donors and partners in new ways and most important, ensuring that people served by Malta House of Care will continue to thrive and that their quality of life and health outcomes are improving. We are confident that Dianne’s leadership will help us fulfill our mission to mobilize volunteers, partners and donors to improve the overall health and well-being of uninsured adults in Greater Hartford by providing free primary care services”, said Brian Sheehan, Malta House of Care Board Chair.

According to Ms. Auger, “The Malta House mission is life-changing for people who need access to healthcare and has been critical to the lives of thousands of adults who do not have insurance and have counted on Malta House for their primary health care. I am honored to continue to work alongside the Malta House team ― staff members, volunteers and Board members ― who care deeply about serving people in need and believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. In my previous role, I served as a leader of an annual hospital medical mission. At Malta House of Care, it is what we do every day. It is work I feel called to do, and it is a privilege to be a member of this very committed and compassionate team.”
